All proceeds from Soiree in Stripes go to the chapter scholarship fund, which provides scholarships to local high school students beginning their Mizzou experience. In the past 10 years, the Gateway Tigers Chapter has provided more than $200,000 in scholarships to the next generation of Tigers.

Here is what past scholarship winners have said:

"Thank you very much for your generous donations to Mizzou that have resulted in the scholarship that funds my education. I am a TAM major (Textile and Apparel Management) as well as a double minor in German and Architectural Studies. I love being involved in the art community at MU as well as the Student Unions Art Council. Thank you again for being an enabler of dreams and further education!"

"I would like to thank you so much for helping me with this scholarship! I'm from St. Louis, so I loved Mizzou because it is such a great school and it is close enough to home also. My goal is to gradute with a major in biology so I can go into forensic science, focusing on DNA. So far at Mizzou I've signed up for a few clubs (mostly service ones and a few leadership and biology clus). Your financial help is allowing me to focus on my schoolwork and clubs instead of solely on a job. Thank you so much once again!"

"You will never understand what your donation means to me. I cannot say thank you enough. I love college, and I will make sure your investment in me will not go to waste."

"I just wanted to thank you so much for donating the money that made my scholarship possible. I can already say that coming to Mizzou has been the best choice I've ever made. Coming from O'Fallon, Illinois, it's been an easy adjustment to Columbia since they both have the hometown feel I feel so comfortable in. I love seeing the school spirit explode out of everyone and the friendly atmosphere. I've decided to study both Nursing and Anthropology, which I know sounds like an odd combination, but both have been my passion to pursue for awhile. For activities (so far), I made the women's Ultimate Frisbee team (terrorMizzou!) and floor government. Also, I'm being paired with an international student to help them integrate into our culture, and them teach me their culture. Because of you, these opportunities have been made possible for me, so thank you so much again."
